Poetic, eloquent, and excellent is what embodies the 22 year old, Los Angeles native, Amanda Gorman the one who reignited America’s soul on January 20, 2021. Standing high on Capitol Hill, during such a pivotal day in history, Gorman recited her original poem, “The Hill We Climb”, a major highlight of the inauguration ceremony. Her presence, her poem, and her posture immediately went viral on the internet as she spoke with such beauty, conviction, and grace.

Gorman plans to make fashion statements that symbolize a part of her and who she is. She recently spoke to Vogue and said, “{Fashion) has so much meaning to me, and it's my way to lean into the history that came before me and all the people supporting me.” She captured the attention of agencies and was recently signed to IMG Models, who will focus on building her profile. Through this, she can expect brand endorsements, editorial opportunities, and expanding her audience.

Her future is nothing less than bright as her forthcoming books are already on Amazon’s Best Sellers list, which are set to release in September, The Hill We Climb and Other Poems and a children’s book, Change Sings: A Children’s Anthem. Gorman is now set to recite an original poem before the upcoming Super Bowl LV, becoming the first poet to perform on this stage.

The tongue is sharper than any double-edged sword. Your words reflect your heart and have the power to breakthrough one individual and even the masses. Speak with conviction. Speak with grace. Speak with peace.

“Let every word you speak be drenched with grace and tempered with truth and clarity. For then you will be prepared to give a respectful answer to anyone who asks about your faith.” - Colossians 5:6
