During the Thanksgiving holiday, Michael Jordan donated $2 million to Feeding America. Feeding America tweeted Jordan’s comments, “In these challenging times and in a year of unimaginable difficulty due to COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to pause and give thanks. I am proud to be donating additional proceeds from The Last Dance to Feeding America and its member food banks in the Carolinas and Chicago to help feed America’s hungry.” Jordan has also donated $100 million earlier this year to help combat racism, supporting organizations such as NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, The Formerly Incarcerated Convicted People’s and Families Movement, as well as Black Voters Matter.

Last April, Jordan released his exclusive 10-episode documentary series, The Last Dance. The series released never before seen footage of Michael and in the locker room. He gave the world a peek behind his world during his prime and parts of his overall athletic career, giving people a chance to see the six-time NBA championship winner in a new light as he still impacts communities in a tremendous way.
