By way of Harlem, A$AP Rocky joined the A$AP Mob in 2007. The collective was formed to bring in a wide-range of talent, from rappers to fashion designers. Radio picked up Rocky’s leaked single, Peso and since then, his career has taken off. From Harlem to Hollywood, Rocky is not only a rapper. He’s well known for his personal style, an actor, and still plays a role in giving back to his Harlem community. During the winter season, Rocky paid a visit to the neighborhood that raised him but made a particular stop to the homeless shelter that once housed him. He is humbled to be a position to give back to a place that helped him get back on his feet. Harlem will always be his home and it is important to him to never forget where he came from.

Value the territory you are called to and build the community that is around you! Home is where the heart is!

“So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do. Moses was also faithful, but Jesus gets far more honor. A builder is more valuable than a building any day. Every house has a builder, but the Builder behind them all is God. Moses did a good job in God’s house, but it was all servant work, getting things ready for what was to come. Christ as Son is in charge of the house.” - Hebrews 3: 1-6
