Billionaire tech, Tesla CEO, and chief engineer of SpaceX Elon Musk was Saturday Night Live’s host this past weekend. During this episode, his monologue focused on his vision of the future. He believes in a renewable energy future, making humanity a “multi-planetary space barring civilization.” Musk also shared he has Asperger's syndrome, which is a high functioning disorder on the autism spectrum. He’s not the average person being that he “reinvented electrical cars and sending people to Mars in a rocket ship.” His self-deprecating monologue was full of humor, giving honor to mother’s especially his own who also made an appearance on the episode. He appeared in sketches that were a play on post-pandemic life.
Musk’s dream to put people on Mars to live is solely based on his belief that humans should exist on multiple planets and he wanted to start somewhere. His plan is to use his latest innovative spaceship, Starship which is reusable and hopes it will redefine what traveling looks like. SpaceX was given a $2.9 billion contract from NASA in order to develop a spaceship and rocket ship system like Starship that would land astronauts on the moon. It’s anticipated that humans can be on the moon as early as 2024. He has a clear vision of the future for mankind and he is in constant innovation to bring that to life.
No matter what the future holds, keep the faith and remain steadfast to your vision!
