Earlier this week, the social network Facebook faced a massive outage and CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared a 1,300 word screed the next day that responded to the whistleblower. Zuckerberg takes back his platform and defends the company, ensuring readers, users, and his global audience that his company does care about safety, well-being, and mental health. He states that Facebook is dedicated to research and doing their best to implement practices that provide a safe space for his users. Facebook's internet regulations are updated and Zuckerberg advocates for those policies.

Zuckerberg co-founded Facebook, Inc. in 2004, earlier known as Thefacebook. The platform was originally intended for college students to share their student social experiences, specifically for him and his Harvard classmates. Eventually other universities caught on and Zuckerberg casted his net to more schools. His initial goal was to create an open information flow for people. In 2007, Zuckerberg became the world's youngest self-made billionaire at 23. His current net worth is $122 billion, making him the 5th richest person in the world.
