President and CEO of Dollar Tree Michael Witynski made a call to raise the store’s baseline prices to $1.25 from their historic $1.00 price. $1.00 prices has been a part of their DNA for 35 years. Due to inflation and the state of the current economy, this call is imperative for Dollar Tree’s operations. This gives them an opportunity to reintroduce some of their consumers favorite products.

In a statement, Witynski said, “Our Dollar Tree pricing tests have demonstrated broad consumer acceptance of the new price point and excitement about the additional offerings and extreme value we will be able to provide.” He believes his customers will remain loyal and understand their decision. This change has already rolled out and will continue to happen nationwide across all their stores.

Change is good for each season! There’s growth happening, even if you can’t see it!
