The renowned Japanese artist, Takashi Murakami made his digital footprint and released a series of digital artwork for nonfungible tokens (NFT), a form of cryptocurrency. His collection, “Murakami.Flowers” features his iconic flowers with different emoji expressions. Murakami plans to release the 24 x 24 pixel art in 108 variations, releasing 12 different flowers a day. When he announced last year that his business was on the verge of bankruptcy, auctioning his artwork for cryptocurrency made this route highly promising. Since the release this past week, bids have already begun. Murakami’s collection has his fans talking and bidders are ready for his daily drops. The digital artwork can be found on OpenSea.
