The tech entrepreneur, co-founder, and CEO of Twitter & Square Jack Dorsey sold his first ever tweet to a Malaysia-based buyer in nonfungible token (NFT), a form of cryptocurrency. An NFT is a digital certificate of digital ownership for a photo, video, or a different form of online multimedia mediums. NFT’s are unique and cannot be duplicated. Jack’s first tweet and Twitter’s first tweet was on March 21, 2006, “just setting up my twttr” - @jack. The buyer relates this to buying art, like a Mona Lisa, emphasizing the importance of this for the future. The platform which was once known for its 140 character tweet limit, now allows users to tweet up to 280 characters.

Dorsey did not finish college, instead took a path of various careers, ultimately leading him to Silicon Valley. He was previously a professional masseur and had experience in fashion design. In 2006, he co-founded Twitter with Ev Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glas. In 2009, he co-founded Square. He is a philanthropist and has a history of giving back. Dorsey has given Square and Twitter stock to his employees and committed to giving away $1B for COVID-19 relief efforts and other causes.

Be mindful of your words and actions because that one moment can drastically change your life!

“'We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.” - 1 John 4:4-6
