Whole Foods CEO John Mackey has been intentional in his operations and since he co-founded the unconventional supermarket. His approach combined the ethos of natural-foods and traditional grocery store finds. Since its inception in 1980, there are now more than five hundred locations. Mackey is the forerunner of the company and remained CEO since Amazon's purchase of Whole Foods on 2017 for nearly $14 billion dollars. Since he has been running his company, it's not just about profit for Mackey. He believes in creating value for people and knows there is a higher purpose. When having a sense of purpose, there is more value, the business does exceedingly better, and overall purpose is important to Mackey. Purpose and profit should go hand-in-hand. The purpose for Whole Foods is to nourish the people on the planet. During the pandemic, Mackey made it a point to take care of his employees and to ensure the safety of customers.
Posture your heart and your spirit to intentionally live a life of purpose and on purpose!
